Using AI Data Stream

Property Context

Give the AI always-on background about each property: what the site is, what counts as a conversion, what to ignore. Included in every conversation and report.

Property Context is a short briefing about one property that the AI reads at the start of every conversation and report for that property. Prompt presets describe how the AI should think; Property Context tells it the facts about this site.

What to Put In It

Keep it to the things that are true for this property and useful every time:

  • What the site is and who it’s for
  • Your primary conversion goal (a demo request, a purchase, a newsletter signup)
  • Traffic to exclude: staging domains, internal visits, known bot sources
  • Key competitors and how they affect your numbers
  • Seasonal patterns and recurring events

Keep it concise. This is the one-paragraph briefing every conversation should start with, not the manual.

Setting Property Context

  1. Open the property and click Property Settings in the sidebar
  2. Scroll to the Property Context card
  3. Write or paste your context in the Context field. It’s a Markdown editor with the same toolbar and preview as prompt presets, so headings, lists and links all work
  4. Click Save Changes

The context is picked up by the next message in any conversation and the next report run, and editing it later takes effect the same way.

How the AI Uses It

  • Chat: the context is appended to the system prompt of every conversation for the property, after the selected prompt preset (or the auto-generated prompt if your team has no presets). It’s there before you type a word, with no lookup or tool call
  • Reports: every report run, manual or scheduled, gets the same context appended to its system prompt
  • AI traffic classification: the opt-in beta that reclassifies GA4’s Referral and Unassigned rows reads the start of your context to understand what the site is

Property Context is available on every plan.

Property Context vs the Knowledge Base

The Knowledge Base also stores business context, but the AI uses the two differently:

Property Context Knowledge Base
How it’s used Always included, in every chat and report Searched on demand when a question calls for it
Best for Short, always-relevant facts Detailed, topic-specific notes
Size Keep it concise Can grow large

Most properties use both: a tight context block for the essentials, and knowledge base entries for the detail. AI memory is different again: facts the AI saves itself during conversations.

Example

Yacht charter brokerage based in Monaco, serving English- and French-speaking clients.
Primary conversion: the charter enquiry form (GA4 event charter_enquiry).
Ignore traffic from staging.example.com and from the office network (tagged "internal" in GA4).
Main competitors: Example Charters, Sample Yachting.
High season is June to September; the December spike comes from the boat show.
