Data & Privacy
Do you store my analytics data?
No. We query your analytics platforms in real-time when you ask questions. Your data stays in Google Analytics, Search Console, or wherever it lives. We don’t copy or store your analytics data on our servers.
Can you modify my GA4 data?
No. We request read-only access to your analytics platforms. We cannot create, edit, or delete any data in your connected accounts.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Security measures include:
- Encryption in transit: All connections use HTTPS/TLS
- Encryption at rest: API keys and sensitive data are encrypted
- Team isolation: Each team has its own isolated database
- No data sharing: We never share your data with third parties
- OAuth tokens: Stored securely and can be revoked anytime
What data do you access?
We only access the data you explicitly connect:
- GA4: Traffic metrics, behavior data, conversions, ecommerce
- Search Console: Search queries, impressions, clicks, rankings
- Google Ads: Campaign performance (not billing data)
- CRMs: Deals, contacts, pipeline data (HubSpot/Pipedrive)
We don’t access personal user data (names, emails, etc.) from your visitors.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Team owners can download a full backup of their team data at any time from Settings → Team → Download Backup. This includes all conversations, annotations, reports, and settings.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation. After that, it’s permanently deleted. You can request immediate deletion by contacting support.
AI & Costs
Why do I need my own API key?
AI Data Stream uses a BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) model. Benefits:
- No markup: You pay AI providers directly at their rates
- No limits: Use AI as much as you need
- Your choice: Pick the model that fits your needs
- Transparency: See exactly what AI costs

How much does the AI cost?
It depends on your model choice and query complexity. Typical costs per query:

Heavy users might spend $10-50/month on AI. Light users often spend under $5.
Can I use multiple AI providers?
Yes. Add API keys from all supported providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek) and switch between them for different queries.
What if I run out of AI credits?
Queries will fail until you add credits with your AI provider. We’ll show an error message. Add credits in your AI provider’s dashboard.
Can I set spending limits?
Yes, through your AI provider:
- OpenAI: Settings → Billing → Usage limits
- Anthropic: Settings → Spending limit
- Google: Cloud Console billing settings
- DeepSeek: Platform billing settings
Features & Functionality
How many properties can I have?
- Free: 2 properties
- Pro/Business: Unlimited properties
Can I connect multiple GA4 properties to one AI Data Stream property?
Currently, each AI Data Stream property connects to one GA4 property. Create separate properties if you need to analyze multiple GA4 accounts.
What’s the difference between conversations and reports?
Conversations are free-form chat sessions. Ask anything, follow up, explore your data naturally.
Reports use structured templates for consistent, repeatable analysis. Great for regular check-ins and stakeholder communication. After a report runs, you can click Continue in Chat to ask follow-up questions about the results.
What are annotations for?
Annotations add context to your timeline. When you note “site redesign launched on March 1,” the AI uses that context when analyzing your data. This helps explain anomalies and improves analysis accuracy.
Do you support languages other than English?
Yes! The interface is available in English, French, and German. Change your language in Settings → Profile. The AI can also respond in any language—just ask your question in your preferred language.
Account & Billing
How do I upgrade my plan?
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Upgrade
- Select your plan
- Enter payment details
Can I get a refund?
Paid plans include a 14-day free trial, so you can evaluate before being charged. After the trial, you can cancel anytime but partial refunds are not provided for unused time. For billing issues, use the in-app support tickets in Settings → Support.
What happens if I downgrade?
- Connections beyond your new plan’s limits are disabled
- Excess team members lose access
- Excess properties are archived
- Changes take effect at your next billing date
Is there a free trial?
Yes! Paid plans (Pro and Business) include a 14-day free trial. Cancel anytime during the trial to avoid being charged. The Free plan is also available forever with core features.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes! Pay annually and save 17% (equivalent to 2 months free).
Troubleshooting
My connection isn’t working
Common fixes:
- Check OAuth: Go to Connections and click Reconnect
- Verify permissions: Ensure you have Viewer+ access in the connected platform
- Check the date range: Some platforms limit historical data
- Try again later: Platform APIs occasionally have issues
The AI gave wrong information
AI models can make mistakes. Tips:
- Verify important numbers in your analytics platform
- Use more capable models (GPT-4, Claude Sonnet) for complex analysis
- Be specific in your questions
- Report persistent issues to support
Queries are slow
Try:
- Using a faster model (Gemini Flash, Claude Haiku)
- Asking for shorter date ranges
- Simplifying your question
- Checking your internet connection
I can’t connect Google Ads
Google Ads API requires:
- Account in good standing
- No policy violations
- API access (usually auto-approved)
Check your Google Ads account status, then try reconnecting.
Technical
What browsers are supported?
Modern versions of:
- Chrome (recommended)
- Firefox
- Safari
- Edge
Internet Explorer is not supported.
Is there an API?
Not currently. We’re considering API access for Business/Enterprise plans. Contact us if you’re interested.
Do you have a mobile app?
Not yet. The web app is mobile-responsive and works on phones and tablets.
What’s your uptime?
We target 99.9% uptime. If you experience issues, create a support ticket in Settings → Support.
