LinkedIn Ads Is Now a Connected Data Source
Connect LinkedIn Ads to AI Data Stream. Analyze B2B campaigns, professional audience demographics, and lead attribution with AI. Available on Pro and Business plans.
LinkedIn will happily tell you your campaign got 54,000 impressions. What it won’t volunteer is that a third of the spend went to job functions that have never once converted, or that the “conversions” in the dashboard include people who merely scrolled past your ad.
LinkedIn Ads is now available as a connected data source on Pro and Business plans — and those are exactly the kinds of questions your AI can now answer.
The B2B Data Nobody Else Has
Every ad platform reports impressions, clicks, and spend. LinkedIn is the only one that can tell you who professionally: which job functions, seniority levels, industries, and company sizes actually saw, clicked, and converted on your campaigns.
With LinkedIn Ads connected, the AI can answer questions like:
- “Which job functions actually click our ads — and which just cost us money?”
- “Are we reaching decision-makers or entry-level browsers?”
- “Which industries convert best, and where is spend going instead?”
- “How does LinkedIn’s cost per lead compare with Google Ads this quarter?”
What the AI Can Analyze
Connecting an ad account makes four tools available:
- Campaign performance — Spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, and leads per campaign, with names, status, and objectives
- Performance over time — Daily and monthly trends for spotting spikes, drops, and creative fatigue
- Audience breakdown — Performance segmented by job title, job function, seniority, industry, company, company size, country, or region
- Ad performance — Individual creatives compared side by side, with their parent campaign
All access is read-only. We never create, edit, or pause anything in your account.
One Number Worth Understanding
LinkedIn reports two very different kinds of results, and mixing them up flatters every campaign: Lead Gen Form leads happen on LinkedIn itself and never appear in your website analytics, while website conversions are tracked by LinkedIn’s Insight Tag — which also counts people who saw your ad but never clicked.
The AI keeps them separate, and when GA4 is connected it can reconcile all three views of the same campaign. That reconciliation is built into one of the new skills below.
Three New Skills
The LinkedIn Ads connection ships with three new skills in the catalog:
- LinkedIn Ads Account Audit — A scored teardown of campaign structure, spend efficiency, creative testing gaps, and audience waste.
- LinkedIn B2B Audience Insights — Who actually sees, clicks, and converts: the full professional-demographics profile, with spend-versus-results mismatches. If a CRM is connected, it cross-checks your converting segments against your real won-deal profile.
- LinkedIn Lead Attribution Check — Reconciles LinkedIn’s reported results against GA4 reality: native leads, view-through inflation, and UTM tagging gaps, with a clear verdict on which numbers to report.
Like all skills, these produce shareable reports and can be scheduled to run automatically.
How to Connect
Head to your property’s Connections page, click Add Connection, and select LinkedIn Ads. Sign in with LinkedIn, approve read-only access, and pick your ad account — anyone with Viewer access or higher in Campaign Manager can connect.
Full setup instructions are in our Connecting Data Sources documentation.
Availability
LinkedIn Ads is available on Pro and Business plans, alongside Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, WordPress, and GitHub at the Pro tier.

Example Questions to Try
Once connected, try asking your AI:
Audit my LinkedIn Ads account for the last 30 days.
Which seniority levels get most of our spend, and which convert?
Compare LinkedIn and Google Ads cost per conversion this quarter.
Which ads are fatiguing — falling CTR on rising spend?
Do LinkedIn's reported conversions match what GA4 recorded?
Which industries should we exclude from targeting?
The AI works best when LinkedIn sits alongside your other sources. “LinkedIn says 40 leads, the CRM shows 12 opportunities — where’s the gap?” is the kind of question that needs both — and now it gets both.
